Hare Kṛṣṇa! Please Accept My Humble Obeisances, All Glories To Śrīla Prabhupāda.
Kindly examine Bhakti Cāru Swāmī’s translating work to deceive the Bengali readers.
It is written that His Holiness Bhakti Cāru Swāmī as the translator of the Śrīmad Bhāgavatam in Bengali In the Śrīmad Bhāgavatam 2.9.7,
He has added the word prakat to the word current link changing the meaning to read that you need to go to the current link to a guru who is living or a living Guru for initiation.
He added 3 words. In Bengali “ba prakat guru”. Ba mean “or”. “Prakat” the key word which when added reads as living guru. If we look at the dictionary translation, prakat in Bengali is an adjective. Meaning manifest, plain, evident, clear, apparent, displayed, known, revealed, dominant.
This is evidently clear that he is distorting Śrīla Prabhupāda’s translation to read that one needs to go to a current link who is currently manifest or in other words a living guru.
This living guru philosophy is never supported by Śrīla Prabhupāda at all and in all circumstances either in his books or even in the śāstras, they all proclaim clearly that the bona fide guru is always eternal and never a conditioned soul.
The red box is where the unauthorised words are added. By adding this word in Bengali he has change the entire translation to read that you need to go to a living guru for initiation against the teaching of Śrīla Prabhupāda, who only appointed ṛtvik for the purpose of conducting initiation. In this way he has cleverly cheated or deceived everyone reading the Bengali Bhāgavatam.
In the original Śrīmad Bhāgavatam 2.9.7 purport of Śrīla Prabhupāda’s version it reads as follows:
“and in order to receive the real message of Śrīmad Bhāgavatam one should approach the current link, or spiritual master, in the chain of disciplic succession.”
In another instance in the purport of Śrīmad Bhāgavatam 4.8.54, a line has being removed :-
(Who is authorised by His predecessor spiritual master) line removed
In the Original Śrīla Prabhupāda’s Śrīmad Bhāgavatam in English it reads as follows:-
One should take initiation from a bona fide spiritual master coming in the disciplic succession, who is authorised by his predecessor spiritual master. This is called dīkṣā-vidhāna. Whereas in the Bengali translation he has purposefully omitted the words (“Who is authorised by His predecessor spiritual master “ )
In order for one to become a guru one needs to be authorised by his predecessor spiritual master by omitting this words he has very cleverly deceive everyone reading to think that one need no authorisation at all to become a guru.
In this way he has very unscrupulously deceive everyone reading to endorsed the present guru system as the norm, which does not need any form of authorisation from Śrīla Prabhupāda, and thus anyone can take up the position of becoming a guru without any qualification or authorisation to go on cheating the masses perpetually.
In the first instance he has introduced a living guru principle and in the next he has done away with any form of authorisation by so doing he has endorsed the bogus guru system in ISKCON, and as a result of which many innocent devotees had their faith and devotion shattered by taking shelter of these many unscrupulous, unauthorised gurus who had prematurely taken up the position of guruship without any qualification and as a result many has thus fallen down.This had created a disastrous effect and is continuing to the present day without any diminution.
Śrīla Prabhupāda did not endorse anyone becoming a dīkṣā guru, in fact based on the July 9th Letter of 1977, for the purpose of initiation he appointed ṛtvik representatives of the Acharya to perform the task and whom so ever they initiate they all became Śrīla Prabhupāda’s disciples.This was Śrīla Prabhupāda’s only and final instruction on how all future initiations are to be conducted particularly when he is no longer physically present with us.
However apart from his many offences at the Lotus feet of Śrīla Prabhupāda he too has committed many offences by transgressing the rules and regulations of the Vedic śāstras, It is stated:-
In the Śrīmad Bhāgavatam 11.20.9 purport, it is stated:-
śruti-smṛtī mamaivājñe
yas te ullaṅghya vartate
ājñā-cchedī mama dveṣī
mad-bhakto ’pi na vaiṣṇavaḥ
“The śruti and smṛti literatures are to be understood as My injunctions, and one who violates such codes is to be understood as violating My will and thus opposing Me. Although such a person may claim to be My devotee, he is not actually a Vaiṣṇava.“
From this verse we can conclude that since His Holiness Bhakti Cāru Swāmī has gone against the śruti and smṛti of the Sastra, he has become a non devotee a avaiṣṇava.
Also it is stated in the Śrīmad Bhāgavatam 6.2.23:
The śāstras say:
pāpiṣṭhā ye durācārā
deva-brāhmaṇa-nindakāḥ
apathya-bhojanās teṣām
akāle maraṇaṁ dhruvam
“For persons who are pāpiṣṭha, very sinful, and durācāra, misbehaved or very unclean in their habits, who are against the existence of God, who disrespect Vaiṣṇavas and brāhmaṇas, and who eat anything and everything, untimely death is sure.“
So far we have only discovered just a few of his daring mistakes but if we were to make a thorough study of all his translations we are very confident to unearth much much more of his many unscrupulous changes. He certainly has very severely offended Śrīla Prabhupāda deliberately and therefore has done the greatest disservice and offence at the lotus feet of Śrīla Prabhupāda.
We are hereby advising all of our devotees interested in Kṛṣṇa consciousness to not to be fooled by all these false propaganda promote by the devotees in ISKCON who are outright cheating everyone by introducing this false unauthorised guru system.
Kindly please try to save yourselves by reading all of Śrīla Prabhupāda ’s books very thoroughly and very carefully, under the guidances of Senior devotees especially from International Sri Krishna Mandir (ISKM) to help you spiritually in making very good advancement towards receiving the mercy of Śrīla Prabhupāda and Kṛṣṇa.
