On 4th December 2021, a beautiful Sat-Sang was held in Nanganallur, Chennai. A sat-sang is a spiritual discourse or sacred gathering. This event was splendidly organized by Balaram Kripa Prabhu and his family.  The program started at 5 pm. At least, 50 people attended. The first activity was singing bhajan. During this bhajan, everyone looked happy, excited, and elated singing the holy names of Krishna. The room was filled with joy and happiness. Then, there was a fascinating lecture about the importance of Vedic scriptures and why we must study them given by His Grace Prahlad Bhakta Das (ISKM Pondicherry) after which people interacted in the lecture by asking questions.

After the lecture there was an arati done by the pujari from the temple. The entire room watched as the Hare Krishna mantra was sung and the deities were fanned, given water and various other rituals were performed. Two beautiful songs were sung and Slokas were recited for Krishna after the Arthi.  Later, delicious Prasadam was served which included idly, sambar, kichadi, chola, chapati, and halwa.

Everyone had a great time and learned so much about Krishna. This was a successful event. It will be a monthly event and many people are welcome to attend.

Our Chennai preaching is managed by HG Krishna Chaitanya Dasa and HG Balarama Krpa Prabhu. This is our second program. There is good response for the program. We got about 50 people this time. All of them were from pious background and educated as well. Many of them are already chanting Hare Krishna mantra under the careful guidance of HG Krishna Chaitanya Prabhu and HG Baladeva Krpa Prabhu. We also have to appreciate the mother and other relatives of HG Balarama Krpa Prabhu who were making the feast for about 50 people despite of their old age from their small kitchen.

We seek the blessings of all Vaisnavas to bestow their causeless mercy that our Chennai preaching will pick up and eventually we shall have our base there.
