Last year, on June 26th, we had our first international ISKM meet. This year, we had it on the 27th of June, the day after the Ratha Yātrā festival. Most of the important devotees from all our ISKM centres were present. After a vibrant Sandhyā-ārati kīrtana, the proceedings began. Firstly, we celebrated our achievements since our inception 1 year ago.

In the last one year, we have achieved quite a bit. We opened up this website ( to showcase our activities worldwide. We compiled the important position paper Initiations After 1977 (IA77) and have translated it into many languages. Next, we came up with a video presentation highlighting the authenticity of the Ṛtvik system of initiations. It was a great hit and that video was then re-made into many languages. All those videos are available in this YouTube playlist.

Due to our online propaganda of our cause, many devotees around the world became interested in cooperating with ISKM in serving Śrīla Prabhupāda and Kṛṣṇa. We are grateful and excited to work with all of them. In this way, we made two trips to faraway lands — Russia and Hungary — to start preaching centres there. The preaching in these two countries is still in a nascent stage at the moment, but definitely progressing.

As you can see, much of our activity was online — setting up the philosophical base.

For this second year, His Grace Sundar Gopāl Prabhu stressed the importance of translating all that philosophy to solid action. We need to have full-fledged temples — places where Śrīla Prabhupāda’s instruction on sādhanā are strictly followed by devotees on a daily basis, starting from maṅgala-ārati.

We have built up our ammunition all this while. Now is the time to use it. The video and the position paper need to circulate on a widespread scale. We are on the lookout for dedicated parties who want to actually take up initiative to start some solid programs in their respective countries.

His Grace Sundar Gopāl Prabhu said that in the 2nd year, we need to open 108 temples all over the world. We appeal to everyone out there who is reading it — we need all your help to achieve this. We have to all stand together as one force in the service of Śrīla Prabhupāda. Please cooperate and help make this happen. Kṛṣṇa will help if we are determined.

Remember the story of the sparrow wanting to dry up the ocean in order to get her eggs? For those of you who never heard, a sparrow laid her eggs near the shore of an ocean. While she was away, the tidal waves caused all the eggs to go into the ocean. The sparrow, being desperate, implored the ocean piteously to return her eggs. Of course, the ocean did not return. She then challenged the ocean — “If you don’t return my eggs, I shall dry up your entire waters and find them.” She started taking little water from the ocean in her beak and threw it on the land. All the fellow birds laughed at her impossible determination. The word quickly spread and the great Garuḍa, the gigantic bird carrier of Lord Viṣṇu came to know. Taking compassion upon his little sister, he personally came and challenged the ocean that if he did not return the eggs, then he himself would take up the task of the sparrow. The personality of the ocean became fearful because he knew that Garuḍa could empty many thousands of oceans if he desired. He quickly returned the sparrow’s eggs.

So determination counts. By next Ratha Yātrā, we may or may not hit the goal, but if the goal motivates us to serve Śrīla Prabhupāda in a more committed manner, then what is the loss? It is all only gain. But we should try to hit this goal. We need all your cooperation. Please come forward and connect with us. Let’s talk. Write to us here:

Jaya Śrīla Prabhupāda!
