Hare Kṛṣṇa!

A group of 35 devotees from Singapore and India recently embarked on a pilgrimage tour to Māyāpur in Bengal district and Vṛndāvana in Uttar Pradesh district of India. Two other Chinese tourists joined the trip and were greatly impressed with the excellent arrangements made by the devotees and the stunning visits to the beautiful temples.

The first three days of the twelve-day trip were spent at Māyāpur, following which the devotees headed to Vṛndāvana. The main site of pilgrimage at Māyāpur were at Navadvīpa, a group of island a short distance away from Māyāpur. While visiting these places, Prahlāda Bhakta Prabhu from Pondicherry and Muralī Kṛṣṇa Prabhu from Kolkata briefed the devotees about the significant pastimes of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu which took place there. By remembering these pastimes, the devotees were filled great joy which created a ecstatic mood of loving devotion.

The devotees proceeded to Vṛndāvana, the same land where the glorious birth of the unborn had taken place many years ago. During their stay, the devotees visited various forests within the Vraja Maṇḍala district and went on a Parikramā to other temples at Nandgaon, Barsana and Baldev. Another main highlight of the trip was the Govardhana Parikrama, where the devotees circumambulated the Govardhana hill which had been lifted by Lord Kṛṣṇa when He was a young boy to save the inhabitants of Vṛndāvana from Lord Indra’s torrential rain storm.

Here are some pictures from the pilgrimage.
