Why is Krishna so attractive? The name Krishna means the all attractive. If we analyze the nirukti, or semantic derivation, of the word “Kṛṣṇa,” we find that na signifies that He stops the repetition of birth and death, and kṛṣ means sattārtha, or “existence.” (Kṛṣṇa is the whole of existence). The other meaning is Also, kṛṣ means “attraction,” and na means ānanda, or “bliss”.

The mercy of the Lord is the very foundation of His display of opulences. The grand and beautiful cosmos was architected only to save us. While scientists, artists, and poets may glorify the beauty and the might of the display of energy, the underlying compassion goes completely unnoticed. Only a pure devotee can open our eyes to the truth beneath the display of Kṛṣṇa’s opulence. Śrīla Prabhupāda kī jaya!
