The full moon on March 21st marked the anniversary of the appearance day of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu, the most munificent incarnation of Lord Śrī Kṛṣṇa.

Vedic texts state that Lord Caitanya is the Supreme Person, Kṛṣṇa, appearing as His own worshiper. He is the combined form of Kṛṣṇa and Kṛṣṇa’s most dear devotee, Śrīmatī Rādhārāṇī. He came to experience the love She feels for Him, and to show by example how to fully surrender to Kṛṣṇa.

Lord Caitanya Mahāprabhu propagated the sankirtana movement, spreading the sublime chanting of the Hare Kṛṣṇa Mahā-mantra, as the only means for liberation in this age of Kali.

Devotees of Sri Krishna Mandir held an extravagant and jubilant celebration that boasted a rocking Kīrtan and Abhiṣek in the temple. The crowd then poured downstairs to be wowed by the lively performance of the children’s class team of Sri Krishna Mandir showcasing the glories of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu.

This was followed by a lively and entertaining cultural show by the temple’s own Vaikuṇṭha Players team depicting one of the pastimes of Lord Caitanya Mahāprabhu in delivering the fallen souls of Kali Yuga.

After everyone was thoroughly entertained and enlightened by the evening show, the finale brought an explosion to the tongue with a buffet of Mahā prasādam to please any palate.
