We had a month-long marathon campaign of distributing Śrīla Prabhupāda’s books and by the mercy of Śrīla Prabhupāda, we have distributed thousands of books. We did this in 2 bazaars – The Deepavali Fair in Little India (for 29 days, 25th of September to the 23rd of October) and the Salaam India Expo (for 4 days, 6th to 9th of Oct).

We will shortly publish the number of books we sold during this marathon.

We met many interesting and interested people and had wonderful conversations with members of public while distributing Śrīla Prabhupāda’s books.

The month-long festival ended with a perfect climax where devotees of ISKM performed a public Saṅkīrtana at midnight at the Fair to herald the Deepavali, which is the only ‘Hindu’ festival that gets a holiday here in Singapore.

The public participated by singing and dancing wholeheartedly in the kīrtana.

And we are very happy to share with you that the main local newspaper, The Straits Times, featured our kīrtana in the online version of the newspaper with a photo as well as a video clip.
