The colorful Ratha Yātrā festival ended in a colossal success. One of the most splendid of the innumerable Vaiṣṇava festivals, the Ratha Yātrā was a grand launch of a series of festivals of the Sri Krishna Mandir almanac.

The festival witnessed a stupendous crowd of 15,000 people who were overwhlemed with the magnificence and magnitude of this amazing celebration. The attendants waxed eloquent in praise of the Organizing Committee and volunteers for their impressive and impeccable execution in conducting the prodigiously outstanding festival.
The fantastic festival was not only a visual treat but also an immense fulfillment to the senses. Everyone was in exuberant ecstasy to get a glimpse of and pull the transcendental chariots of the Dark Darling Lord Jagannātha along with Baladeva and Subhadrā.

The eyes were treated to the beautiful, colorful, mammoth chariots and the gigantic inflatable forms of Jagannātha, Baladeva and Subhadrā and Śrī Śrī Gaura-Nitāi; the ears were treated to the thunderous kīrtana, the tongue of every single guest was treated to the sumptuous luscious 10-course prasadam banquet. Apart from that, there was the new addition to this year’s festival — the Vedic Exhibition — which educated the visitors on the journey of the soul from the material world to the spiritual world. The book stall attracted so many people and awakened their spirituality while the souvenir stall offered souvenirs that would remind the attendees of the Lord and His festival for a long, long time to come. There were also some cultural stalls and food stalls like hennā, jhāl mūrī snack, ice cream, pānī pūrī etc.
It was a unique festival in which everyone was absorbed in Lord Jagannātha with mind, body and words. Thousands of souls have been introduced to Kṛṣṇa consciousness through this festival. A festival that was six months in the making has come to a splendrous close.

We, at Sri Krishna Mandir, offer all the success of this festival at the lotus feet of Śrīla Prabhupāda and further offer him obeisances hundreds and hundreds of times. Without him, there would have been no Ratha Yātrā outside the precincts of Jagannātha Purī and no Kṛṣṇa consciousness outside the borders of India.

We would also like to take this opportunity to extend our utmost thanks to everyone who contributed to making this event successful and special thanks to everyone who participated in the unparalleled event on the unforgettable evening.

May Lord Jagannātha shower His unbounded blessings on one and all! All glories to Jagannātha! [End]
