ISKM celebrated Ratha Yatra in Orissa and Bangladesh with great celebrations. Devotees gathered to chant the Lord’s Holy Name in the streets where their Lordships, Sri Sri Srimati Jagannath Baladev and Subhadra took to the streets to give their darshan to the public.

The Ratha Yatra festival has deep meaning and profound purpose. Jagat means moving and natha means master of all movement so we are moving with this rotten material body from one species to another, from one womb of a mother to another and it is very very hard to stop this abnormal movement.

At every moment the body is decaying and moving towards death, just that we don’t know or we are oblivion to the sobering fact. So the Lord. out of his unbounded mercy, he has come out of his sanctum to deliver the fallen soul like us. By just seeing him on the chariot, pulling the chariot or participating in the festival one starts his journey to Vaikuntha.

Rathe tu vamanam drustwa punar janma na labhyate means whoever sees the Lord on Chariot gets the unbounded blessings of Lord Jagannatha and puts an end to the miserable cycle of birth and death.
