16 devotees took Ritvik initation on 6 Aug 23 in ISKM Pondicherry under the guidance of HG Sundar Gopal Prabhu.
Initiation entails receiving spiritual knowledge, Hare Krishna mantra, and guidance from a bona fide spiritual teacher, Srila Prabhupada known as a guru. The aspirant is encouraged to study Srila Prabhupada’s books diligently, as they offer profound insights into the ancient Vedic teachings and the path of bhakti (devotion).
The initiation program fosters a sense of commitment and discipline, encouraging individuals to lead a life dedicated to spiritual practices like chanting the Hare Krishna mantra and engaging in seva (selfless service). It fosters a profound transformation of the heart, leading to a genuine love for the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Sri Krishna and all living beings.
Through Srila Prabhupada’s books, the initiation program paves the way for seekers to embark on a life-changing journey of self-realization, spiritual growth, and ultimately, attaining divine love of godhead.
Divya-jñāna is that we are all servant of Kṛṣṇa, and our only business is to serve Kṛṣṇa.Divya means transcendental, not material. Tapo divyam [SB 5.5.1]. Divyam means we are combination of matter and spirit. That spirit is divya, transcendental. Apareyam itas tu viddhi me prakṛtiṁ parā [Bg. 7.5]. That is parā prakṛti, superior. If there is the superior identity… And for understanding that superior identity we require superior knowledge, not ordinary knowledge. Divya-jñāna hṛde prakāśito.”
