In December 2016, Caitanya Līlā Prabhu of ISKM Australia met with an unfortunate accident on a notorious Australian highway. A nasty wind swept our popular Krishna’s Kitchen caravan upwards and threw it violently onto the road, destroying it completely in a matter of seconds. By Kṛṣṇa’s sheer mercy, however, Caitanya Prabhu emerged unscathed.

Over the last 6 months we have been working hard and took the help of local tradesmen to create an even bigger and better caravan for the pleasure of Śrīla Prabhupāda! Many tradesmen donated their time and skills to help get the van up and running and we would like to express a big thank you to them all for their time and dedication.

In June, we attended our first food market event and since then have been regularly attending local markets, festivals and catering functions.

The organisers from regular markets informed us that they were inundated with people coming and asking where the Hare Kṛṣṇa food van was every market! So many people are eager to get their next taste of Kṛṣṇa prasādam!

We have received an absolutely amazing response from the public, who are very excited to have us back at local events, many coming to the events just because the Hara Kṛṣṇa food van is there!

Krishna’s Kitchen has also been running a fortnightly restaurant at a local venue since February 2017. To say the least, it has been an overwhelming success, with every night booking out to capacity…which is a first in the history of the venue.

With the busy festival season approaching Krishna’s Kitchen already has many events lined up and the

distribution is set to be a huge success in Far North Queensland, Australia.

Prasādam distribution ki jay!
