ISKM Puducherry celebrated Śrī Nṛsiṁha-caturdaśī, the appearance day of Lord Nṛsiṁhadeva on the 9th of May, 2017.

The program started with Tulasī-pūjā and followed by the Sandhyā-ārati and kīrtana. The devotees offered more than fifty special varieties of foodstuff along with a delicious cake for the pleasure of Lord Nṛsiṁhadeva. Then there was a grand abhiṣeka ceremony for the Śālagrāma Śilās who are non-different from Lord Viṣṇu. All the assembled devotees and guests were given the opportunity to participate in the ceremony by offering milk to Their Lordships. During the abhiṣeka ceremony, the beautiful Brahma-saṁhitā prayers were chanted by the devotees, followed by Hare Kṛṣṇa mahā-mantra kīrtana.

After the abhiṣeka ceremony, Śrīmān Prahlāda Bhakta Prabhu gave a short discourse on the pastimes of Lord Nṛsiṁhadeva which was followed by a special drama by the Goloka Players, a drama troupe of ISKM Pondicherry, depicting the killing of the demon Hiraṇyakaśipu and the deliverance of Prahlāda.

The assembled attendees were mesmerized by the dramatic show of Lord Kṛṣṇa’s pastime as the half-man, half-lion incarnation. More than one hundred and fifty people participated in the event. The program was concluded by a sumptuous Kṛṣṇa prasādam feast for everyone.

All the assembled devotees left the temple with their heart filled with the pastimes of Lord  Nṛsiṁha and the Hare Kṛṣṇa mahā-mantra.
