Sri Krishna Mandir, celebrated the transcendental Radha Krishna swan boat festival with great pomp and fervor. The Swan Boat Festival begun at approximately at 7 pm with and the utsav deities Radha and Krishna were carried from the temple to the swan boat on our beautifully-decorated, big pool of water in the carpark.
Everyone got a chance to pull the boat around the pool and throughout the entire festival, transcendental bhajans glorifying the divine couple Sri Sri Radha Krishna were sung by devotees followed by sumptuous prasadam.
The Swan-Boat festival is a special festival that was celebrated by Lord Caitanya in the company of devotees some 500 years ago. He would celebrate this festival in remembrance of the Vrndavana festival wherein Krishna along with the gopis had so many pastimes in the Yamuna river.
